My son-in-law stayed at the Mansion in January 2013. We were given free run of the Mansion by the wonderful staff that also took us around the three floors and basement. With recording equipment in hand we set out to spend a sleepless night hoping to find/see some evidence of spiritual activity. We were not disappointed. We were allowed into William Lemp Suite and that's were we witnessed the most activity. The place was hot with the thermostats reading 80 degrees. Sitting in the dark, I felt a cold chill and then an aroma of a gentlemen's cologne. My son-in-law was on the other side of the room and did not smell or feel the chill. Ten minutes later it had a colder chill and a strong smell of Lavendar. My son-in-law moved to my location and could feel the cold air surrounding me. We took many pictures in the dark and when we went back home and reviewed them, we were amazed that we had captured many pictures of orbs in that room and also the bar area. I flew from the East Coast of NC and it was worth the trip. The owner, Paul Pointer, was very friendly and we enjoyed talking with him about the history of the mansion.
